Water pump

A few days ago, I notice the water pressure inside the house was really low. I suspect the well pump was dead because the pressure gauge at the well house was over a 100psi. It's hard to believe having that much pressure in the water line and not be able to have water at the house. I shut off the valve to the reserve tank, then to confirm my theory of the pump go dead. I start troubleshooting it by removing all the pipe to the house well outlet. Then I turn on the water valve again. No water spray out but very little water pour our, I was told my water well is suppose to do that. I forgot the name when your well has natural pressure.

I had to call the repair service to replace the pump because I didn't have the proper hardware to do the job or I would have done it myself.

The well pump was 105 feet deep. The repair guy had to use a crane to pull/lift the pipe out in order to remove each section of 20 feet five times prior to get to water pump.

When they remove the pump all the bearing inside the pump was damage. The water pump was rated for 10 gallons per minute. I requested that I wanted to double the size of the water pump because last year I had installed a water irrigation system for my brothers and sister n laws garden. When they use the water to the garden I have no water to the house. So when I installed the new pump I requested to have a 20 gallons. The new pump is installed I'm able to use water while my brother and sister n law used the irrigation water to their garden.

There was minimal price difference from a 10 to 20 gallon water pump. The 20 gallon water pump cost hundred dollars more. The price of the service and pump was a arm and leg.
