Mount St. Helens

On top, Front view looking down to base camp.

On top, Back view looking into the carter of Mount St. Helens and in the far distance is Mount Rainer.

Working our way up and up...

Took a quick rest to see how far we had hike up the side of Mount St. Helens.

Here I am at the top of Mount St. Helens.

My wife and I met a few hikers on our way up that wasn't able to make it to the top of the summit due to lack of training and muscle cramp.  It's a good thing we had been training our legs to summit this mountain, their were several time we were asking ourselves why we are doing this hike?  It's one of the toughest hike so far for us.

Have you explore new hiking grounds lately?

Dog Mountain

Dog mountain is considered a hard trail in the Portland hikers review but it is worth the beauty once you have reach the top of the mountain. The view is spectacular with all theses beautiful bright yellow Arrowleaf balsamroot covering the pasture. These wildflower are member of the Asteraceae family that is known as "Oregon Sunflower".
