Kumquat

Last, Tuesday as I was mowing my grass not paying attention to the mail man. He had delivered a package onto my front porch without me knowing what was inside. I first thought it was for my son, he had been asking for a package that he was anticipating to be delivering at any day now.  My first reaction was to call him to let him know his package has arrived.  Then I looked at the label on the package it was address to me.  To my surprise it was from my intimate stranger from afar who had purchase this tall slander package for me.  It was so thoughtful of her to remember me for the little things I’ve done for her.  I guess I’ve touch her life a little bit, which it is only in my nature to share my smile to those I’ve met.   I wonder do I come across like this to all the people I’ve met?

Inside the package it was two dwarf citrus tree (Nagami and Meiwa Kumquat). I remember on my trip to southern California where we had a short conversation regarding what kind of citrus tree I like. You can say she knows me well for such a short period we had encounter one another, she remember what I like.

A little history of the two type of kumquat dwarf citrus that was given to me are; Nagami Kumquat it can grow to 6’ to 10’ in size when maturity.  This is known to be a cold hardy plant.  These fruits can be eaten peel and all.  This particular citrus is a native of China, a symbolic of prosperity and good luck.  I hope it will bring some prosperity and luck my way? I don’t feel so luck of late maybe things will change for the better? As for the Meiwa Kumquat it can grow to 4’ to 8’ in size when maturity.  Depending on the sources on the internet both of these are from China or Japan introduction into the United States in the early 1900’s. I can’t hardly wait for next year’s fruits.

Today, I’ve decided to plant it into a planting pot with my kids while they are here with me.  We such a great moment together were we planted it into planting pot.  I hope it will continue live for many more years as I will give it lots of love and care.

I would like to thank my intimate stranger for the wonderful gift. I can’t thank her enough for her gift and her friendship.  Good luck to you and may you have a prosperity life going forward.

Why did you plant your trees in a container? Is it too cold where you are at that the plant has to be brought inside during the winter? Also, did you plant the trees in separate containers or are they both in one container? Each plant should be in its own separate container.

It sounds as if you and your intimate stranger may have parted ways. If it's true, I'm sorry to hear that. You must have made an impact on her and her life. Also, she must have really cared for you and I'm sure she also wishes you good luck too. Who knows, she probably might be very very sad to have parted ways with you.---WW
