A Day at Yosemite National Park

As I was boarding my flight back home from SMF, I'm so blessed to have had the opportunity to go to Yosemite National Park with my friends.

While I was visiting Sacramento California for the weekend, my friends and I made a day trip to Yosemite National Park. The last time I recall going there was when I was a very slender young man in my teens.  How time has flyby and how I have very few memories of where I went too when I went there as that young boy? So this time around I wanted it to be more memorable and took lots of photography while I was there.  Even though it was a day trip like then and now, my friends and I made better efforts to plan a hiking trip to the base of Half Dome. I had always wanted too, because most of the time we see most popular photography of Half Dome from afar landscape photo. So we got there early at base camp at the Yosemite valley where we were meeting up with other friends. Because of the popularity of Yosemite, parking space is limited and we had to search and find parking space then regroup at base camp of the trailhead. Due to bad reception of phone signals we lost two friends which delay our hiking trip.  We decided to approach the trail. As we reached the first bridge, water break, and restroom station we got reception so we left a message on their cell phone. No replies nor messages, so we continue ahead.
When we reached the second waterfall on our hike up towards Half Doom. We finally was able to find our lost friends. They mention that they received the messages so they rush up the trail to catch up to the rest of us. I guess we missed them when we went to the restroom break and they thought we were so far ahead that they continue without a restroom break. By then my friends wife was cramping a little bit and exhausted from the hike. We push her and encourage her, we finally reach the Yosemite upper valley going toward Half Doom late into the afternoon. We had our lunch and snacks. The hike from Yosemite upper valley to the base of Half Dome was another 4.5 miles. My friends were too exhausted and out of shape, so we decided to head back. Next time for sure I will accomplish this defeat..

Even though it was a day trip to the park.  I made my money worth it? I had such a get time seeing Mother Nature creation, so beautiful and breathtaking.  One of California best place to go visit and tour! Next time it will be a better trip because I want to spend a few days there so I can take more pictures of some of the most spectators fresh waterfall in the nation!

I have you been to Yosemite National Park? Tell me your experience?

Never forget the past, it's what makes you stronger!

I wants remember a good friend wants told me that, "my mind knew but my heart was still attach and in love with this person". Now my heart has finally caught up to my mind. Thus I'm moving forward with my life. I will miss dearly of my former lover and friend, for her to live, love and laugh much! Because time isn't waiting for either of us? Maybe in a different life time, it would be different and things will align as we indented to live, love and laugh much.

As for now, things are different between us, which I hate and took a lot of time to make my decision to move on with my journey of life. It was a very hard decision to make, I have concluded this wonderful journey with her was a great one. It took me several months to have really felt that it was time to let go...it seems like a life time of pain and suffering making my decision! I guess that's how you feel when you have shared your heart with someone and love them much. As time goes by I will renaissance of my past, it will put a smile on my face that I wants loved this person very much, the good times and bad times through thick and thin and the wonderful memories we shared. Those moments I will cherish with me until I'm no longer on this earth and I have gone to my father and his fathers before him.

I will continue to pray for her and her safe passage through life.

Live, Love, and Laugh much

Survivor Mud Run

This past weekend was such a exciting and exhausting at the same time running at the Survivor Mud Run.

I was so exciting about the Survivor Mud Run held in California. I had purchased my ticket about two months back. Just trying new things and new experiences. Life is just too short not try new things. I prepare two weeks in advance for it. The race was more of fun and getting dirty then racing for time. Beside at this event no time devices were given out to participants. Regardless  I had so much fun running with my friends.  The event was suppose to be held in Modesto CA this year as previous years,  but due to possible flooding by a river nearby, the event was moved to the Sacramento area. In my opinion why the event moved was more of contractual issues, instead of the river near by flooding the event because it hardly rain in Cali. Why would they have flood warning? I conclude it was more of a contractual issue of renting of the same place so the event holder made it feel like it was a environment or disaster problem. Anyhow I thought the Survivor Mud Run was pretty good and have many great obstacles to overcome.  But it could have been harder! Many participants including my friends complained that it was much better at the previous location. Some reasons why they thought it was less attractive was that the mud was very sandy, the mud was not as silky, the course routes that we were running had many cow hoof prints into the ground which made deep holes which cause a few participants spraining, and twisting their ankles. During the beginning of the run, my friend twist his ankle so the small group all took the course a little slower past. Beside it was more fun to help each other then getting the best time.

The exhausting part of this event was that it was so freakin hot in Cali! The weather was so hot it was in the 80s or even hotter by the time we started at 10am. In the run, it felt like a 100 plus degree with only one water station in between the whole Survivor Mud Run.

Overall it was a good experience to something new!

I might be in your area for a run?
